Horsefly & Quesnel Lakes contain Kokanee, Dolly Varden, Lake Char & wild stock Rainbows. Horsefly has abundant trails & natural historic points of interest. Trails range from leisurely walks to high energy challenges. Along these trails & in outlying areas are numerous scenic spots such as waterfalls & breathtaking mountain views.

Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast or its your first time experiencing the back country. The numerous lakes and the Horsefly River offer the opportunity to take a little dip, fish, kayak, canoe and water ski. Bring your own boat or rent one. Some of the resorts carry them just for the occasion.
Ice Skating: during the winter the rink in Horsefly is flooded (weather permitting) for all to enjoy the fun of skating. Located in the centre of town.
Ice fishing is very popular for locals & visitors. X-Country Skiing: There are many trails around Horsefly that have been made just for this popular activity. The most accessible is Corner Lake, which is about 5 Km from town.
